What is new for Mail Archiver X version 8.2?

Mail Archiver version 8.2 reduces the size of archives and improves speed of archiving.

Speed improvements and archive sizes

Archiving new emails is now significantly faster. Archiving duplicate emails is way faster.

If you archive a lot of images then the new version will have smaller archives. If you want to take advantage of the reduced size you need to do the following:

1. Make a copy of your archive.
2. Select emails with lots of attachments and then select Email -> Utilities -> Reparse from the menu. If you have more than 100k emails then you can't see all of your emails at once. Either do the conversion in stages or sort by attachment count. You don't need to reparse emails without attachments.
3. Do a clone of the archive. See the Cloning section of the Troubleshooting page.

Onboarding Improvements

Onboarding has been improved. When starting Mail Archiver you can see at a glance if you have an email account with mailbox and an archive location. It's only possible to start archiving with both in place.

Improvement for PDF

There is now a 4th structure option for writing PDFs. Because the descriptions sounded all rather similar there is a graphic behind each option to show the result of the structure option.

Mail Archiver Pro Admin improvement

There is now a built-in update check and installation for new Valentina Server licenses.

Improved mailbox handling

Improved the mailbox selection. A top level mailbox can't be excluded anymore. New mailboxes are now added automatically to archiving if at least one sibling mailbox is being archived. In this case the new mailbox gets the selection status of the parent mailbox.

Update licenses for 24 or 36 months

It's now possible to buy update licenses for 24 or 36 months. Until now it was only possible to buy update licenses for 12 months.
